In the post-pandemic world we find ourselves, it’s commonplace to make sacrifices, some more significant than others. At what is perhaps the lower end of the significance scale: the cycling industry (open for debate), choices have become limited, the scope of availability narrowed and expected wait times extended eminently.

With this in mind, when a customer requested a top end frameset in a specific size and colour, with a freshly launched @shimanoroad groupset we were already struggling to source for ourselves - all in time for this summer - it’s understandable that our response was something in line with “no chance mate”. Happily, our response was unfounded. Our @lookcycle dealer had one (yes, one) of the exact frames needed in stock. Some flirtatious phone calls with our @shimanoswitzerland dealer later, and we’d secured our groupset. Finally to @envecomposites for a finishing kit and wheelset and, incredulous as we were, we’d managed to build a bike to our customers exact specifications in less than a month.

The outcome is an absolute weapon. The epitome of ‘looks fast when standing still’. Lightweight (7.4kg with pedals, mounts and cages), ultra responsive, comfortable and beautiful in its simplicity.

It’s no stretch to say that we’re a little bit in love with this one.
